3 days Astronomy Class for School Students


Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre on behalf of students in the school astronomy class will take place on the 3rd day of winter.

From December 28 to 30, the classes take place in the solar system, information about the moon, the stars, the origin and development, including the Milky Way galaxy to be trained. The students in the classes of  7.8 and 9 may participate. Stars, planets, sun, space is now possible to view through a modern telescope.

Location : Gandhi Mandapam Road, Birla Planetarium chennai

Time : 10 Am to 4 Pm

The first 50 students will be only allowed to participate in the winter class.

It is my great pleasure to inform that Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (B.F.U.H.S.), will be hosting the “16 th Punjab Science Congress” from 7th to 9th February, 2013 at BFUHS campus, in the holy city of “Faridkot” on the theme “Science for Health” under the aegis of Punjab Academy of Sciences, Patiala. Health means the health of our soil, water, environment, food products, food chain, Health of our animals,
birds and human beings.

This edition of the annual Science Congress will provide a platform for the senior scientists and young researchers from different disciplines of Science and Technology, from the country to meet and interact with each other & share their innovative ideas and integrate them in the service of the mankind and a healthy humanity.

A Special Young Scientist Award for the presentation of papers by the young scientists (up to 35 years of age) shall be held in all the disciplines of science, apart from presentation of scientific papers and poster display by senior and eminent scientists and researchers.

History of the lectures will be held at 11 am in the department. PROF. Upendra Singh, The Problem of War: Ancient India,will express views on the subject. The country's eminent historian.

Pro on the history of ancient India. Upendra has published the book. In 2009, Nobel laureate Amartya Sen jury headed by prof. Upendra was selected for the award of five million. Ancient and medieval history of India awarded prior to the highlight.

3 Students selected for Delhi Faith Shorts competition

Delhi Tony Blair Faith Foundation's three school students selected this year's British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Faith in the global film competition section for shorts. Students include 14-year-old Ishita Gupta (Film - Connecting Culture), 15-year-old amused Muraka (Film - The Mirror) and 17-year-old Sujit Roy (Film - Ansaited Faith). Their films will be showcased at BAFTA 195.
