The Ministry of Human Resources development, Government of India has taken up a major project of interconnecting all the Colleges and Universities on all INDIA basis through NMEICT (National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology). In this connection, Anna University of Technology Chennai (AUTC) has Sent out circular to all the engineering colleges for the establishment of internet connection. But some of the colleges have not yet established proper alternate Internet connectivity.
Because of the lack of proper internet connectivity, the examination related activities (internal mark, practical mark acquisition and Question paper download etc) of Anna University of Technology Chennal, Chennai are delayed which leads to delay in publication of results. Also high speed internet connectivity will enable the students to learn from worldwide web.
BSNL has been identified as Telecom Service Provider for the NMEICT, AUTC has requested BSNL to provided the details to establish the connectivity. The letter from BSNL on the rates and connection specification are attached for your quick reference and speedy action.
All colleges are requested to establish proper internet connectivity at the earliest. The VPN now established will be of use even after the merger of Anna University of Technology Chennai with the Anna University, Chennai.
