The Centre for Disaster Mitigation and Management and Institute of Remote Sensing, Anna University, Chennai-25 has invites the application from Indian Citizens for temporary project staffs for the project "Design of an Expert System for Flood Forecasting and Management for the city of Chennai"
1. Name of post : Junior Research Fellow
No of post : One(1)
Essential Qualification : M.E. /M.Tech in Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering/Irrigation Water Management, from a recognized University with First class (not less than 60% marks).
Salary : Rs. 25,000/- per month – Allowances as per norms
Experience: Minimum of Two years of experience in handling Hydrodynamic Models is essential.Knowledge in handling RS and GIS data is desirable.
Nature of work: Assisting the Faculty in Hydrodynamic Modelling for Flood Forecasting, data processing,update and maintain the database, drafting reports and writing manuscripts. – Involves , Field visit and Travel
2. Name of post : Senior Project Assistant / Project Associate I
No of post : Two(2)
Essential Qualification : Masters Degree in Remote Sensing/Geomatics/Hydrology and WaterResources/Irrigation Water Management or B.E. / B.Tech. in Geo-informatics/Geomatics/Civil Engineering subject from a recognized university with at least first class (60%) at essential level and two years of experience in handling RS/GIS Data/Flood Modelling
Salary : Rs. 18000/- per month
Experience: Experience in the creation and maintenance of Geospatial database using popular GISsoftware - Knowledge in handling RS and GIS data is desirable
Nature of work: Assisting the Faculty in Hydrodynamic Model Setup, Calibration and Vaidation, data processing, update and maintain the database, drafting reports and writing manuscripts, Involves Field visit and Travel
3. Name of post : Junior Project Assistant/ Project Associate I
No of post : Two(2)
Essential Qualification : : B.E. / B.Tech. in Geo-informatics/Geomatics/Civil Engineering from a recognized university with at least first class (60%)
Salary : Rs. 15000/- per month
Experience: Experience in handling RS and GIS data is desirable
Nature of work: Assisting the Faculty in creation of Geospatial data for Hydrodynamic Models, data processing, update and maintain the database, Involves Field visit for Survey Operations using GPS/Level
4. Name of post : Field Data Collection Assistant / Technical Assistant
No of post : One(1)
Essential Qualification : : H.Sc., or S.S.L.C
Experience: Experience in the above defined task is desirable
Salary : Rs.10,000/- per month
Nature of work: Assisting Faculty in collection of data from various Government Department/Agency/Institute etc., Primary Data if required is to be collected from field. Involves, Field visit and Travel
5. Name of post : Professional Assistant / Project Assistant
No of post : One(1)
Essential Qualification : : B.Sc / BA / BBA /B.com or equivalent with at least first class (60%)
Experience: Excellent skill in document preparation using MS Word and MS Excel is preferred
Nature of work: Assisting Faculty in document preparation, manuscript typing, maintaining project related communication
Salary : Rs.12,000/- per month
