Empowering the English Language Learner - Materials, Methods and Testing - International Conference -Anna University
Objectives of the conference :
To understand the need for reconsidering the material-method-testing paradigm in a heterogeneous classroom.To discuss changes and developments in English language education in the post method era.
To generate and share innovations in material development and designing in English language education at the tertiary level.
To explore the various purposes, types and administration of language testing in English Language Education.

1. Integrating technology in material development and task design.
2. Designing and selection of classroom and instructional materials.
3.Material development and the language teacher.
4.Pedagogical perspectives on material design and development.
Testing:
1.Language Assessment, Testing and Evaluation.
2.Types of tests and tools.
3.Principles of test construction.
4. Online testing and Computer Based testing.
Call for papers :
Original research papers focusing on practices and experiences on the thrust areas are invited for
presentation. Papers should be submitted in accordance with the following guidelines.
1. Full name as it should appear in certificate.
2. Designation & College Address with email.
3.Title of the paper.
4.Abstract (not more than 100 words)
5.Full Paper typed in MS Word (double space, 2000 words, MLA format).
Kindly send the soft copy to the Email: au.english@gmail.com and hard copy of the paper along with abstract should be sent in an envelope superscribed “Paper submission CONFERENCE 2017” to “The Convener, International Conference, Department of English, Anna University, Chennai - 600 025”, before 20th February 2017. Intimation regarding acceptance will be emailed on or before 1st March 2017.
Registration Fee Details :
The registration fee should be paid by Demand Draft drawn in favor of "Organized Programmes,
Anna University, Chennai 600 025" after receiving the intimation of acceptance.
